Customers Win as Google makes information easier to access
Google has released a new feature that allows it’s search engine to search within select retailer’s websites without leaving Google. The system starts when a user types in “bestbuy.com” into Google and a “Search within Bestbuy.com” box appears.
This has caused controversy since retailers are upset that their search-within results appear next to competitive ads that are served by Google. Users are big winners because they can access more information without the cumbersome search engines from the retailers. As a new feature, this is a brave move by Google since it could alienate retailers but ultimately, customers win the most.
