Facebook Commerce: Wishpond Worth A Look

Many retailers are trying and testing different Facebook integrations in order to see how they can cultivate Facebook “likers”  and fans into customers.

Wishpond is a new product that makes it easy to get a “Facebook Store” up there with straightforward UI integration, product integration and it has nice features that make it easy to use.  It has different tiers of pricing starting at “free” but keep in mind, especially if you are a small to medium-sized business, that platforms like Volusion and Big Commerce have their own plug-ins that allow you to set up online store “tabs” within Facebook so you wouldn’t have to pay Wishpond and your e-commerce solution provider.

In addition, Facebook Tabs are now open to use iFrames so if you have a web developer on your team you can integrate and customize a page from your store with some finaggling, testing, and trial.

But Wishpond looks like a worthwhile alternative and a sound product with solid technology backing so it’s worth a look. Every e-commerce retail business is different so evaluating the options, such as the three mentioned here, is always advisable.
